SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BRANDISHING: 4100 block of Chantilly Lace Court, 8/1/18, 6:02 p.m. A woman was walking to a friend’s house when she thought she saw a relative. When she greeted him, he pulled a gun and pointed it at her. The victim ran away and called us. Officers arrived and found a man who matched the description. When the man saw officers approaching him, he ran into a house and out the back door where other officers were waiting. Brand Lacroix, 27, of Falls Church, was taken into custody. The investigation revealed the subject hid a gun in the home near small children. Officers recovered the loaded weapon. Lacroix was charged with brandishing, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and reckless handling of a firearm.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

GRAND LARCENY/PURSUIT: 5800 Crossroads Center (Old Navy), 8/1/18, 11:33 a.m. Loss prevention called us to report a group of shoplifters. Officers arrived and saw two women run to a car with a third woman inside and speed away. The car stopped a short distance away and two of the women ran away. Officers chased after the women and caught them. The driver stayed in the car. Amia Butler Morgan, 21, Destiny Cherry, 20, from Washington D.C., were charged with multiple counts of grand larceny and outstanding warrants were served. The third woman, Angelica Travers, 21, of Washington D.C., was charged with grand larceny.
