BURGLARY: 6849 Old Dominion Dr., between 8/21/18 at 5:00 p.m. and 8/22/18 at 5:00 a.m. A property manager reported multiple tools were stolen throughout the night from an office building. It did not appear force was used to enter the building.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
2800 block of Dorr Avenue, 2005 GMC U-Haul truck
PURSUIT: Little River Tpk. at Markham St., 8/22/18, 5:20 p.m. Our officer tried to stop a car with illegal window tint but the car took off. The officer called a pursuit. During the event, the driver struck four cars and drove through several yards. Officers decided to stop following the car due to the driver’s dangerous actions. A short while later, the car crashed, and the driver and front seat passenger ran away. Our officers, with the help of our helicopter and K9 unit, took both men into custody. A person involved in one of the four crashes was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Derrick High, 21, of Norfolk, was charged with eluding, five counts of hit and run, two counts of grand larceny, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, and a registration violation. John Cevora, 21, of Norfolk, was charged with two counts of grand larceny, possession of marijuana, and an outstanding warrant was served.

ANIMAL IN VEHICLE: 2900 Sutton Rd. (Oakton High School), 8/22/18, 2:15 p.m. Fairfax County School Security found a dog inside of a truck parked at Oakton High School. When Animal Protection Police arrived, they learned the owner locked the dog in the truck while he was inside the school. Keith Allred, 53, of Idaho, was issued a summons for inadequate care of an animal. The dog was determined to be healthy and unharmed.
SHOOTING INTO OCCUPIED VEHICLE: 10000 block of Garrett St., 8/22/18, 2:37 p.m. A man was driving a pickup truck when the passenger side window was broken by a BB. Officers located a 15-year-old boy who admitted to shooting the truck. Officers will be seeking a petition for the 15-year-old boy. The driver of the truck was not injured.
