ROBBERY: 7584 Leesburg Pike (Tysons Pimmit Park), 8/25/18, 9:20 p.m. The victim was walking home when he was approached by two teenagers demanding that he walk back into the park. One of the men pushed an object into the victim’s back and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim was punched, kicked, and pushed to the ground. Our officers, with the help of our K9 unit, found both suspects, one of which was a juvenile. Luis Mejia Perdomo, 19, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with robbery and an outstanding warrant was served. Petitions to charge the minor are also being sought.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8320 Old Courthouse Road (Lincoln Properties), 8/24/18, 11:24 p.m. An employee reported that a man entered his business on the third floor of the building. The employee saw the man on his security camera system and officers found the door to the business pried open. Our officers, with the assistance of K9, located the man hiding in his car in the parking lot. Nelson Argueta Cruz, 33, of Maryland, was arrested and charged with grand larceny and two counts of burglary.

STOLEN VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION: 3400 block of Spring Ln., 8/26/18, 7:12 p.m. The victim received a notice from her bank that her debit card was used at a gas station nearby. While she was driving to the gas station, she saw her car, which was stolen in Arlington on 8/12/18, with a man sitting in it. Officers arrived and found the man sitting in the car and took him into custody. Yonatan Desta, 38, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with credit card theft, grand larceny, auto theft, forgery, credit card forgery, credit card fraud, and possession of marijuana.

11700 block of Summer Chase Circle, 2000 Nissan Altima
ROBBERY: 6300 Springfield Plaza (Springfield Plaza), 8/25/18, 7:52 p.m. Several citizens called in and stated there was a man in the parking lot reaching into cars. Another citizen also reported the man tried to steal his car while he was placing items in his trunk. Our officer located the man in the parking lot and he ran away. After a short chase, our officer caught the man and took him into custody. The man began pulling away, and had to be taken down to the ground to be secured again. He also tried running from officers a third time, as he was being assessed for injuries, and had to be taken down again. Ian Levinson, 24, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with robbery, attempted carjacking, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and drunk in public.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 5200 block of Montgomery St., 8/25/18, 7:32 p.m. A citizen reported that a man who she didn’t know walked into her home after she opened the front door. Officers found the man sitting in her kitchen and arrested him. Mauricio Hernandez-Zuniga, 22, of Alexandria was arrested and charged with unlawful entry.

TRAFFIC PURSUIT: Armistead Road at Richmond Highway, 8/24/18, 11:44 a.m. Our officer attempted to stop a car after it drove through a red light. The vehicle initially stopped, but the man drove off as our officer was speaking with him. After a short chase, he came to a stop, then ran from the car into the surrounding neighborhood. The man attempted to break into someone’s home to get away, then hid in a creek bed. Our officers, with the help of our helicopter and K9 unit, took the man into custody. Randall Redfearn, 37, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with reckless driving, felony eluding, DUI (3rd in 10 years), and attempted burglary.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8412 Old Keene Mill Road (Yindie Thai Restaurant), 8/26/18, between 12:00 a.m. and 11:37 a.m. An employee reported that someone entered the business by breaking the back door. Money was taken and the back door was damaged.
