BURGLARY: 9411 Lee Hwy. (Towers Market and Deli), 8/29/18, 4:00 a.m. An employee reported that someone entered their business by breaking the front glass window. Two men were seen breaking the window and running away from the business on camera. Money was taken and the front window was damaged.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: 6555 Little River Tpke. (Home Depot), 8/29/18, 10:02 a.m. A witness reported a dog was left in the rear of a pickup truck in full sunlight with no water. Animal Protection Police arrived and monitored the dog for over an hour without the owner returning. We took the dog into our custody and shortly after, the owner returned. Kinga Bullert-Niesen, 33, of Annandale, was issued a summons for cruelty to animals. The dog was checked by a veterinary doctor and determined to be in good health.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY: 7899 Heritage Dr. (Pho Anh Duong Restaurant), 8/30/18, 1:50 a.m. An alarm company reported an alarm activation. We arrived and located an open door. After the building was searched, it was determined someone entered the restaurant and took the cash register. A review of surveillance footage showed a man in a white hoodie, jeans, and white shoes enter the store and take the register.
BURGLARY: 7150 Fullerton Rd., 8/28/18, between 6:00 a.m. and 7:42 a.m. the next day. An employee reported that someone entered their office by breaking a window. Money was taken and the window was damaged.

BURGLARY: 12200 block of Braddock Rd., 8/29/18 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. A resident reported that someone entered her house through an unlocked window. Several items and cash were taken.
