HOME INVASION/ROBBERY: 7400 block of Lucerne Lane, 8/31/18, 1 a.m. A resident reported two men entered the apartment through an unlocked door. The victim was sitting on the couch when one of them pulled a gun and told him not to move while the other checked the victim’s pockets for valuables. They took his cell phone and wallet. The victim tried to get up but the suspect with the gun hit him with it while the other suspect punched him several times. The men also took a tablet from the apartment. The suspects are described as black men in their early 20s, around 5’10”, weighing about 180 pounds, and wearing dark clothing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 3300 block of Woodburn Road, 09/03/2018, 1:26 p.m. Officers responding to an alarm observed damage on the door of the business. The building was checked by the officers however no one was in the building. Nothing was taken, but a door was damaged.
ROBBERY: 6000 block of Knollwood Drive, 9/3/18, 1:57 a.m. Officers responded to the area for a robbery that just occurred. When the victim was leaving the apartment building, four Hispanic males began assaulting him. One of them displayed a knife and a pistol. They took the victim’s phone and wallet.
ROBBERY: 3400 block of Glen Carlyn Road, 9/3/18, 2 a.m. While investigating the above-mentioned robbery, a victim from a separate robbery, possibly involving the same suspects, approached our officers. The victim was sleeping on a park bench when four Hispanic males began hitting him. The suspects took his wallet and phone.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: Columbia Pike near Lacy Boulevard, 9/2/18, 12:24 p.m. An officer saw Reno Davis, 33, of Falls Church, who had an outstanding warrant for trespassing. When the officer tried to stop him, Davis punched our officer several times, causing injuries to his upper body. Davis ran towards a nearby gas station and grabbed two gas pump nozzles and swung them at our officers. He then ran into traffic, jumping on several cars. Our officers chased Davis, deployed an electronic control weapon, and took him into custody. Our officer, and Davis, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Davis was later taken to the Adult Detention Center where a warrant for malicious wounding and the outstanding trespassing warrant were served. Davis is currently held without bond.

COMMERICAL BURGLARY: 6050 Burke Commons Road (Sally Beauty Supply), 8/31/18, 12:24 a.m. Someone broke the glass door, entered the business and stole merchandise.
BURGLARY: 8100 block of Laurel Crossing Lane, 09/03/18 between 12:00 a.m. and 7:35 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered her house and stole several items including two vehicles from the garage.

ROBBERY/ASSAULT: 4500 block of Fair Valley Drive, 9/2/18, 5:25 a.m. Officers were called to Fairfax Hospital for a teenage boy who was injured in a fight earlier in the morning. The victim was at a party when several men picked up his jacket. When the victim asked for his jacket back, one of the suspects punched him. A fight ensued and one of the men took his Nike Jordan 12 sneakers. The victim was taken to the hospital by a friend with non-life threatening injuries.
