MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

TRESPASSING: 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 9/4/18, 4:29 p.m. The property manager called to report a trespassing in a vacant apartment. While searching the apartment, James Gibson, 18, of Alexandria, was located inside. When Gibson saw our officer, he assaulted the manager and ran out of the apartment. After a brief foot pursuit, Gibson was arrested for trespassing, destruction of property, assault, obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 5575 Vincent Gate Terrace (Sullivan Place), between 3 p.m. on 9/2/18 and 10 a.m. on the 9/4/2018. An employee reported someone entered the leasing office and stole several computers.

BURGLARY: 6000 block of Cobbs Road, between 12:00 p.m. on 8/30/18 and 11:23 a.m. on 9/4/18. The victim returned from vacation to find someone broke his bedroom window and stole cash and a coin collection.

LARCENY: 6500 Springfield Mall, 9/4/18, 2:48 p.m. Shopping Center officers responded to Springfield Mall for a larceny. Officers found Tanesha Ford, 30, of Washington, D.C., in the parking lot in possession of stolen property. During the arrest, Ford resisted and attempted to bite our officer. Ford was taken into custody and charged with assault on law enforcement officers and larceny.
