FCPD RECAP THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY:  5600 block of Barrymore Road, between 4:30 a.m. on 9/5/18 and 6:30 a.m. on 9/5/18.  A resident reported that someone entered his garage and stole several items from his vehicle.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

MALICIOUS WOUNDING:  5300 block of Pole Road, 9/5/18 at 7:38 p.m.  Officers were called to the area for a man with a stab wound to his upper body.  The man was walking down Pole Road to meet a friend when two men approached him.  The suspects punched and stabbed the victim before running away. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The suspects are described as black teenagers wearing blue jeans and black t-shirts.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 8600 block of Lee Highway, 9/5/18, 10:43 pm.  The victim made online arrangements to sell a cellphone.  The victim and suspect arrived at the agreed location.  The suspect took the phone to examine it prior to the exchange of money.  The suspect implied that he had a weapon and threatened the victim before driving off with the phone. The suspects are described as an early 40s black man and a 20-25 year-old black man with short black hair.  The car was described as a black Dodge Charger.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 2400 block of Centreville Road, 9/5/18, 10:40 p.m.  Officers responded to the area for a report of a man shooting at the victim with a pistol.  The victim and suspect are known to each other and had a physical altercation.  The victim left the area on his bicycle and later found the suspect driving next to him at the above location.  The suspect produced a handgun firing at him from inside a vehicle.  The victim was not hit and ran away from the suspect who drove off.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY:  6000 block of Inverness Drive, 9/5/18, 10:09 p.m.  A resident woke to strange noises inside the lower level of the house and found two unknown Hispanic men inside the home.  One man pushed the victim to the ground while the second man held a machete to the victim’s throat.  They told the victim he had two days to move out of the home where the victim rents a room.  The men ran out of the home and were seen leaving the area in a black vehicle.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT/BIAS CRIME: 12000 block of Alder Woods Drive, 9/5/18, 4:30 p.m.  Officers responded to the Fair Oaks Hospital for a report of a road rage incident and bias crime.  The victim was driving on 66 East in Prince William County and noticed the driver behind him was making rude hand gestures and appeared to be visibly upset with the victim.  Both drivers pulled over on 66 at the Fairfax County Parkway.  The victim walked up to the suspect’s car and was called a racial slur several times before they both drove away.  The suspect continued to follow the victim, who pulled over again on Alder Woods Road near the Fair Oaks Hospital.  The victim approached the suspect again only to be sprayed in the face with pepper spray.  The victim grabbed the suspect’s steering wheel and the suspect accelerated away dragging the victim for several seconds before he fell receiving several abrasions from the road.  The suspect is described as a bald white man driving a two-door blue Honda.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 13000 block of Mansarde Avenue, 9/5/18, 10:40 p.m. Officers responded for a call where a man was cleaning his handgun and accidently discharged a round into the brick wall of his home.  No one was injured and the round did not penetrate the wall. We are following up with the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney in regards to any possible charges.
