FCPD RECAP Tuesday, September 11
BURGLARY: 6800 block of Colonel Taylor Lane, 9/10/18, 8:00 a.m. Officers responded for a report of a burglary. The victim left his home at 7:00 a.m. and returned at 8:15 a.m. to find his wife’s purse was missing from the front foyer area. The door was left unlocked at the time and nothing else appeared to be missing.
BURGLARY: 15000 block of Eagle Tavern Way, between 6:30 p.m. on 9/7/18 and 2:35 p.m. on 9/9/18. Officers responded for a report of a damaged window and found two mirrors were stolen from inside the home. It appears the suspect(s) came in through the damaged window. The home has been vacant since July and has been shown by several realtors who recently noticed the damage.

PETIT LARCENY/OBSTRUCTION/RESISTING ARREST: 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 9/10/18, 7:57 p.m. Two young men were seen concealing merchandise at the Tysons Mall. Tysons Urban Team officers attempted to detain them and they resisted. Three other with them interfered with the arrest. Officers were able to take all five into custody but three officers received minor injuries. Two of the arrested complained of pain and were evaluated by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Two of the involved were juveniles and released to their parents. Abdias Umana, 20, of Hyattsville MD, was arrested for petit larceny, two counts of obstruction of justice, and disorderly conduct. Cameron Reeder, 18, of Landover Hills MD, was arrested for obstruction of justice and two counts of petit larceny. Jairo Martinez, 19, of Hyattsville MD, was arrested for two counts of obstruction of justice and one count of disorderly conduct.
BURGLARY: 2800 block of Graham Road, between 6:00 p.m. on 9/9/18 and 9:40 a.m. on 9/10/18. Officers responded to a hair salon for a report of a burglary. Employees arrived to find the front glass shattered and a rear door unlocked. At the time the employees secured the previous evening the door was locked and the glass was not broken. It is believed a suspect(s) made entry into the business, but the owners are uncertain if anything was taken.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY: 6200 block of Rathlin Drive, between 6:00 a.m on 9/4/18 and 4:30 p.m. on 9/5/18. The homeowner reported leaving a pistol on his kitchen table when he left the home for work. When he got home he noticed the pistol missing. There was no sign of forced entry. The homeowner believes his daughter may have left a door unlocked. No other items were missing.
