BURGLARY: 5800 block of Woodlawn Gable Drive, between 3:00 p.m. on 9/8/18 and 2:00 p.m. on 9/11/18. The renter of an apartment returned home after being away for several days to find several items missing. While checking the apartment, the renter observed that his mattress had been soaked in windshield wiper fluid, olive oil, vinegar, and coffee grounds. There was no sign of forced entry. Officers collected various types of forensic evidence for detectives to follow-up on.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: 1900 block of Barton Hill Road, 9/11/18, 7:33 p.m. Officers responded to investigate a report of a domestic assault and found a woman experiencing an apparent mental health crisis. During their interaction, she scratched and attempted to bite both officers. The Commonwealth Attorney’ s Office will be consulted prior to any charges being placed.
