ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: 5900 block of Williamsburg Rd, 9/24/18, 8:02 p.m. Officers responded for a complaint of drunk people in the area. They found 30-year-old Kevin Epps who appeared to be intoxicated. While Epps was sitting on the ground, he grabbed an officer’s wrist and refused to let go. When the officers tried to arrest Epps, he resisted, assaulting the officers even after being placed in handcuffs. Epps was charged with three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer and intoxication in public. He was held without bond.

BURGLARY: 8600 block of Westwood Center Dr, on 9/23/18, around 10:19 p.m. A man broke into a business by prying open a door. Several small safes were broken into and the cabinets were rifled through. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

ROBBERY: 9400 block of Lorton Market St, 9/24/18, 8:53 p.m. Officers responded for a report of a robbery. The victim was standing in front of a shopping center when he was approached by man who punched him and took his money. Officers searched the area with the assistance of our helicopter.

BURGLARY: 3400 block of Valewood Dr, on 9/24/18, around 10:45 p.m. Officers responded for a report of a burglary. A homeowner woke to the sound of someone entering her home through an unlocked door. She checked the home and noticed money was missing from a purse left in the kitchen.
