ROBBERY: 8700 block of Sacramento Dr, on 9/25/2018, 8:33 a.m. While the store clerk was helping another customer, a black man entered the store. He displayed a large knife to the clerk, took cash from the registers, and left the store. The man is believed to be in his early twenties, thin build with dreadlocks.

ROBBERY: 7400 block of Linda Ln, 9/26/18, 12:50 a.m. A 74-year-old female was walking home when she was approached by a man who punched her in the face and grabbed her purse. The victim did not know her attacker and she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

ROBBERY: 6100 block of Leesburg Pike, 9/25/18, 4:15 p.m. The victim was walking along Leesburg Pike when he was approached by a teenage boy who brandished a gun and demanded the victim’s belt. The teenager then got into a car waiting nearby. Responding officers found the juvenile along with an adult getaway driver in the car. Officers learned the weapon used was stolen. Both the juvenile and driver Estifanos Bisrat, 18, from Falls Church, were charged with armed robbery, possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana with intention to distribute.

ROBBERY: 7772 Gunston Pl, Dominos, 9/25/18, 9:56 p.m. The Dominos Manager confronted 4 teenagers who were drawing pictures in the condensation on the front windows of Domino’s Pizza. During the confrontation, the teenagers physically assaulted the manager and took his cell phone. Officers and detectives located all of the suspects. Three juveniles and 20-year-old Stanton Jones, of Alexandria, were charged with robbery.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/PURSUIT: Backlick Rd and Springfield Blvd, 9/25/18, 9:39 p.m. An officer stopped two cars for reckless driving. As a second officer arrived and got out of her car, both cars took off, one of which, struck the officer. Officers drove after the suspect in a pursuit that lasted over 8 miles mostly on interstate roads. The officer utilized a precision immobilization technique (PIT) to stop the vehicle and arrest the driver. Emanuel Chang-De La Cruz, 19 years-old, of Alexandria was charged with speed to elude, no operator’s license, reckless driving and assault on a law enforcement officer. Luckily, the officer was not injured.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
PURSUIT: Northbound I496 at Braddock Road, 9/26/18, 2:40 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a car for reckless driving but the car sped away. The driver stopped and attempted to run from the car however was quickly captured. Kevin Gutierrez, 27, of Dumfries, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, no operator’s license and speed to elude.
