FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION
CHECK FRAUD/PURSUIT: 7000 Bland Street (BB&T Bank), 12/06/18, 3:30 p.m. A woman entered the bank, gave the teller an identification card, a debit card and a check to cash. The teller noticed the ID did not match the woman trying to cash the check and called police. The woman left the bank and got into a car. An officer saw the car believed to be involved on I495. The officer signaled for the car to stop. The driver, Caleb Tucker, 23, of North Carolina, initially pulled over then drove away at a high rate of speed. The officer drove after the car and it ultimately stopped near Gallows Road. Officers took Tucker and Tara Sanfilippo, 26, of North Carolina into custody. Tucker was charged with felony speed to elude, grand larceny, identity theft, credit card larceny and driving without a license. Sanfilippo was charged with grand larceny, credit card larceny and identity theft.
