BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8100 block of Ashtonbirch Drive, 12/27/18, 3 p.m. A homeowner had arranged with two men for household services. Prior to the work being completed, the two men broke into the home and demanded money allegedly owed to them. The victim wrote a check for partial payment. One suspect left to cash it, while the other stayed behind with the homeowner. The check was declined at the bank. The second suspect left the victim’s home without further incident. Both suspects are described as adult white men and detectives are investigating.
