DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: 3600 block of Buckman Road, 1/14/19, 5:08 p.m. Theophilus Sarpong, 33, of Alexandria, got into an argument with two unknown men in front of an apartment building. Sarpong retrieved his gun and fired several rounds striking the building. Sarpong was arrested and charged with destruction of property and reckless discharge.

BRANDISHING: 6400 block of Telegraph Road, 1/14/19, 2:38 p.m. A passenger displayed a gun when the taxi cab driver asked him to pay the fare. The suspect got out of the cab and ran away. Responding officers found the juvenile suspect nearby. Petitions will be sought for brandishing (BB gun) and larceny.
