BURGLARY: 5900 block of Havener House Way, 3/31/19, 10:47 a.m. Someone entered a home through an unlocked door. Debit and credit cards were stolen.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 8300 block of Pondside Terrace, 3/31/19, 11:44 p.m. Officers responded to the area for the report of gunshots and discovered a home and a car were shot several times. Nobody inside the home was injured. Officers found numerous shell casings in the parking lot outside of the home.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

STABBING/MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 6100 block of Franconia Road, 3/31/19, 1:40 a.m. A woman was approached by a man and asked to dance. The woman’s partner, Pedro Rivera, 54 of Burke, became upset and a fight broke out. During the fight, Rivera cut the victim with a knife. Rivera remained on scene until officers arrived and arrested him. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Rivera was charged with malicious bodily injury and held on no bond.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 13000 block of Quartz Lane, 03/29/19, 10:54 p.m. A group of teenagers was outside playing a game when they were approached by a man who displayed a silver handgun from his back pocket and demanded money. The group of teens immediately ran away and told a parent. The suspect was seen running away. Officers, K-9 and our helicopter searched the area, but the suspect was not located. He is described as a teen, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and red and black shoes. Nothing was taken and no one was injured.
