UPDATE: INDECENT LIBERTIES SUSPECT ARRESTED
Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested Kevin Norton, 50, of Springfield, for the indecent liberties case that occurred on Aug. 14, at the Springfield Town Center. Detectives worked diligently with support from the community and media reports to identify and arrest Norton. Prior to our detectives contacting Norton, he voluntarily turned himself into police. Norton was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with indecent liberties with a minor and peeping. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.

Franconia Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an indecent liberties case that occurred in a store bathroom at the Springfield Town Center. On Aug. 14, a young teenage boy was in the Macy’s bathroom when he noticed two men looking at him in the bathroom stall. One of the men lowered his pants and began masturbating in front of the child. The victim frantically sent text messages to his mother who entered the bathroom, prompting the men to leave. The investigation revealed one of the men re-entered the bathroom a short time later and remained in the store.
Video footage shows the below pictured man in the area of the store around the time of the offense. Detectives need your help identifying this man.
