GRAND LARCENY/OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard (CVS store), 8/30/19, 5:49 p.m. Officers were called to the CVS store to investigate a larceny that was occurring. When they arrived, the suspects ran away and were quickly arrested. Store merchandise was stolen. James Shelton, 49, Darryl Carter, 56, and Qaadir Philson, 19, all of Washington D.C., were charged with grand larceny and obstruction of justice. They were held without bond.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY: 8200 block of Russell Road, 9/1/19, 10:58 p.m. The victim reported he was assaulted and knocked down by a group of men while walking to the bus stop. The suspects stole his personal property and left the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries that were not life threatening. The suspects are described as five black males. Four men were wearing dark clothing and one was wearing a light-colored T-shirt.

GRAND LARCENY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 9/2/19, 7 p.m. Officers were investigating several car break-ins in a parking garage when they saw a man crouched behind a car. He was arrested and officers then found another man sitting in a white van that contained stolen property from the earlier thefts. Delonte Tyson, 26, and Demarco Tyson, 18, of Washington, D.C., were charged with seven counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, destruction of property, possession of burglarious tools and possession of stolen property. The two men were held without bond.

STOLEN AUTO: 2001 International Drive (Tyson’s Galleria), 8/31/19, 12:54 p.m. Officers responded to the report of a stolen car that was in the parking garage. Officers used garage surveillance footage to locate the suspect in the mall. Craig Hunter, Jr., 24, of Fairfax, was arrested and charged with auto theft, possession of burglarious tools, possession of forged bank notes, possession of marijuana and displaying altered/fictitious registration. He was held without bond.

The man ran away but was found by arriving officers. Collin Cathey, 35, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. No photo available.
