Driver Dies after Crash into Annandale Home

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred early this morning in Annandale. Officers responded to the 8500 block of Little River Turnpike around 2:35 a.m. after a Subaru Legacy crashed into a house. Detectives believe the Subaru was traveling northbound on Wakefield Chapel Road. The driver continued through the intersection at Little River Turnpike and into a house. The driver, John Carey, 66, of Annandale, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe speed was a factor. Carey was the only occupant of the car and the residents of the house were not injured.
