UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM/BRANDISHING: 2800 block of Groveton Street, 1/6/20, 9:58 p.m. Officers responded for a man who was seen firing a gun from his home. The man left on foot prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation led officers to the 5600 block of Norton Road where, after the extensive search, officers from our Special Weapons and Tactics team found Scott York, 53, of Alexandria and safely took him into custody. York has been charged with brandishing a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of a schedule I/II drug, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of a schedule I/II drug with a firearm, and possession of marijuana.
