COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5924 Leesburg Pike (Charleston Alexander Jewelers), 1/14/20, 12:02 a.m. Someone broke into the business, but it appears nothing was taken.
LARCENY/DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 3827 South George Mason Drive (7-Eleven), 1/13/20, 5:47 p.m. A man stole merchandise from the store. When confronted by the clerk and other customers, he became belligerent. He ran from officers when they attempted to arrest him but was located nearby. Michael Sammey, 26, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with two counts of larceny third or subsequent conviction and disorderly conduct.

ABDUCTION/USE OF FIREARM IN COMMISSION OF A FELONY: 7400 block of Little River Turnpike, 1/13/20, 2 p.m. A man was working at an apartment complex with a leaf blower when another man came out of an apartment and grabbed him by the jacket. The suspect displayed a gun and threatened the victim. Baxon Hwang, 70, of Annandale, was arrested and charged with abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. No photo available.
