ROBBERY: 14100 block of Saint Germain Drive, 3/22/20, 8 p.m. A man carrying groceries was approached by a juvenile who threatened him and demanded the items. The victim refused and the juvenile assaulted the victim, took the groceries and ran away. Officers found the juvenile nearby and the juvenile was charged with robbery, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, simple assault and possession of alcohol under age 21.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6969 Richmond Highway Suite 205 (United Pro Tax), 3/20/20, 5:30 p.m. Someone broke into the business and stole property.
UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue, 3/22/20, 5:25 p.m. Several gunshots were heard in the immediate area. Upon the officer’s arrival, several cars were found to be damaged. Unknown suspect description.
BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 2500 block of Fairview Drive, 3/22/20, 11:48 p.m. The suspect entered the home, but it did not appear anything was taken. The suspect was located and arrested. Juan Cordova, 29, of Alexandria was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and false identification to law enforcement. Cordova was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5520 Leesburg Pike (Tobacco King), 3/22/20, 9:45 pm. Someone attempted to break into the closed store while an employee remained inside. The employee confronted the suspect who ran away. The suspect was found and identified as a juvenile. The juvenile was taken into custody and charges are pending.
PURSUIT/DWI: Little River Turnpike/Guinea Road, 3/21/20, 4 a.m. Officers attempted to stop a Toyota Yaris for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. Officers used the Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) which brought the pursuit to an end and resulted in Julia Hamby, 34, of Wirtz, VA, being taken into custody. She was charged with disregarding police command, driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest/obstruction of justice and trespassing. She was taken to the Adult Detention Center and held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6200 block of Rolling Road, 3/21/20, 9 p.m. Two males approached a delivery driver, broke his car window, assaulted him and tried to take his wallet. The victim was not injured and the suspects ran from the area. The suspects were described as one white and one black male, in their late teens wearing dark clothing.
BURGLARY: 7500 block of Wilderness Way, 3/21/20, 6:48 p.m. Someone broke into a home and stole personal property.
