POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS: Shirley Gate Road/Braddock Road, 4/16/20, 2 p.m. Officers investigating a traffic crash found that one of the cars contained narcotics and a large amount of cash. Jonathan Phan, 21, of Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I or II drugs, possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, altered or forged license plates and operate an uninsured vehicle.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

TRAFFIC PURSUIT: Franconia Road/South Van Dorn Street, 4/16/20, 3:38 p.m. Officers attempted to stop a Ford Crown Victoria for a traffic violation. The driver initially stopped and then drove off resulting in a pursuit. Officers used the Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) which brought the pursuit to an end and resulted in Kevin Bascomb, 34, of Washington D.C., being taken into custody. He was charged with felony speed to elude, felony hit and run, reckless driving and possession of synthetic drugs. No photo available.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5700 Telegraph Road (BP Gas Station), 4/16/20, 4:46 a.m. Someone broke into the business and stole property.
