POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS: Manzanita Place/Seven Woods Drive, 5/26/20, 7:22 p.m. A man was reported to have been waiving a handgun around while standing with a group of people. Two men took off running as officers arrived. Officers gave chase and saw one of the men throw a handgun into a bush. Both men were taken into custody a short distance away. Kevin Mejia, 19, of Alexandria, who was found to be in possession of narcotics, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I or II drug, possession of schedule I or II drug while possessing a firearm and concealed carry weapon violation. Zackary Sanders, 20, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with trespassing. No photo available for Sanders.
