Detectives Investigate after Decomposed Body Found in Fairfax Station

West Springfield Police District – Detectives are investigating after a body was discovered yesterday evening in a wooded area near the 7500 block of Lee Chapel Road in Fairfax Station. Good Samaritan Intervenes During Sexual Assault of Teenage Girl

Franconia Police District – A good Samaritan intervened Thursday night after witnessing a man sexually assault a teenage girl in the 7000 block of Backlick Court in Springfield. Officers responded around 7 p.m. and took 25-year-old Arjun Dhimal into custody.  Preliminarily, detectives believe Dhimal, who was unknown to the victim, approached her on a neighborhood sidewalk and sexually assaulted her.
