ROBBERY: 13700 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 8/12/20, 10:27 p.m. A teenager was approached by three teenagers while riding his bicycle. The suspects assaulted him, took personal property and then ran away. The victim was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.

LARCENY/FOOT PURSUIT: 6210 Seven Corners Center (Home Depot), 8/7/20, 2:30 p.m. Officers confronted a man who left the store with stolen merchandise. The man ran away but was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Arnold Wesley Moody, 52, of Washington D.C., was charged with larceny with intent to sell.
BRANDISHING: 6600 block of Columbia Pike, 8/7/20, 6:15 p.m. A victim reported they walked by a man sitting in a car who pointed a handgun at them. Officers located the man and as a result of the investigation, Ronald Allen Deangelis Jr., 49, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with brandishing.
ROBBERY: 6000 block of Vista Drive, 8/13/20, 12:50 a.m. Two men were walking when they were approached by two men. The suspects assaulted and took personal property from the victim and ran away. The victim was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING/STOLEN VEHICLE: 1700 block of Chimney House Road, 8/8/20, 8:08 a.m. Homeowners reported that someone had entered the home overnight, stole personal property from inside and took their 2009 Nissan Altima from the parking lot. The car was recovered two days later in the 11600 block of Stoneview Square.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 13200 block of Parcher Avenue,8/13/20, 10:29 p.m. A man was stabbed after being confronted by a group of men in a parking lot. The suspects drove away. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY/ASSAULT: 9804 Gunston Road (7-Eleven), 8/10/20, 11:08 p.m. Two men approached the clerk, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register. A customer attempted to intervene and was assaulted by the suspects. The suspects took cash and property from the store and ran away. The victim was treated for minor injuries.
WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 7200 block of Olde Lantern Way, 8/10/20, 12:33 p.m. Officers responded to a home for a man who had been shot and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening. Preliminary investigation determined that the man attempted to force his way inside a home where a family event was taking place and was shot by another man. All involved parties were accounted for and the case remains an active investigation. Charges are pending.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: Blake Lane/Five Oaks Road, 8/8/20, 9:04 a.m. Officers responded to the area for an assault and located a victim who had been stabbed. The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening. Officers located the suspect, Eldre Horton, 27, nearby and took him into custody. Horton assaulted an officer during the arrest and was charged with malicious wounding and assault on law enforcement.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 13047 Fair Lakes Shopping Center (Target Store), 8/13/20, 12:47 a.m. Officers responded for an alarm and discovered a shattered front glass door. A juvenile suspect was taken into custody as a result of the investigation. Charges are pending.
