VEHICLE PURSUIT/DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED: 4000 block of Airline Parkway, 10/24/20, 8:23 p.m. An officer attempted to stop a 2004 Honda sedan for driving without headlights. The driver continued a short distance, drove onto a sidewalk and hit a curb before coming to a stop. Cristian Antonio Santos-Franco, 40, of Chantilly, was charged with DWI, speed to elude, and driving without an operator’s license.
ASSAULT/STRANGULATION: 9100 block of Richmond Highway, 10/24/20, 8:19 p.m. A man waiting for a ride was assaulted by another man who also prevented him from calling 911. The victim was treated for injuries that were not life threatening. Curtis Penn, 27, of Fort Belvoir, was charged with assault, abduction, strangulation, and preventing a 911 call.
BANK ROBBERY: 6890 Elm Street (Capital One Bank), 10/27/20, 2 p.m. A man entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The man left with cash and no injuries were reported.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING/MOB ASSAULT: 3400 block of Lake Street, 10/24/20, 12:37 a.m. Three men were approached by a large group who assaulted them with bats and knives resulting in injuries that were not life threatening.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY/LARCENY: 5800 Cross Roads Center (Spirit Halloween), 10/29/20, 7:22 p.m. A group of three people stole merchandise and left in a 2007 Ford sedan. Officers stopped the sedan, recovered the stolen merchandise and learned the sedan was reported stolen. Nitalia Rivera, 31, of Washington, D.C., was charged with possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and petit larceny. Tyanna Thomas, 29, of Washington, D.C., was charged with receiving stolen property and petit larceny. Curtis Thomas, 33, of Washington, D.C., was charged with petit larceny.
ROBBERY: Parkwood Terrace at Marc Drive, 10/30/20, 2 a.m. A man reported he was assaulted by two men who stole his phone. The victim suffered injuries that were not life threatening.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 6306 Grovedale Drive (Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles), 10/25/20, 5:03 a.m. Officers were checking a burglary alarm and discovered the glass front doors had been smashed. Anthony K. Smith, 30, of Springfield, was found inside along with extensive damage to the interior of the building. Smith was charged with burglary and destruction of property.
TRAFFIC CRASH: 6121 Franconia Road (Franconia Governmental Center), 10/26/20, 4:57 p.m. A woman inadvertently drove over a cement parking curb and into the building’s exterior wall. A part of the building was damaged. No injuries were reported.
BURGLARY/BARRICADE: 6900 block of Bethnal Court, 10/28/20, 7:10 p.m. A woman reported an acquaintance forced himself into her home while armed with a knife and threatened to harm himself. The man barricaded himself inside the home for several hours while officers employed de-escalation techniques. Gregory Scott Burgess, 50, of Manassas was taken to the hospital with a self-inflicted injury that was not life threatening. He was charged with burglary and violation of a protective order.
WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ROBBERY/MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 7500 block of Little River Turnpike, 10/29/20, 1:40 p.m. A woman reported a man entered her apartment, stabbed her and stole cash. The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
