MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION 

SHOOTING: 2600 block of Redcoat Drive, 6/19/22, 11:07 p.m. A 24-year-old man got into an argument with the victim, an acquaintance, inside an apartment. The man displayed a firearm, shot the victim in the upper body, and ran away. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. Officers quickly located the man and arrested him nearby. The 23-year-old Alexandria man was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  

ROBBERY: 3000 block of Furman Lane, 6/20/22, 9:54 p.m. A group of men approached the victim, assaulted him, and took property. The victim sustained minor injuries.  

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 5800 block of Cameron Run Terrace, 6/22/22, 12:28 a.m. A man approached the victim, assaulted her, and attempted to take property. No property was taken. No injuries were reported.  

ROBBERY: 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, 6/22/22, 2:59 p.m. The victim arranged to sell a man merchandise through an online application. The man displayed a handgun and took the property. No injuries reported.   

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 2245 Huntington Avenue (Old Chicago Pizza), 6/22/22, 10:52 p.m. A man entered the store, displayed a firearm, took money, and ran away. No injuries were reported.  

ROBBERY: 3400 block of Van Dyke Street, 6/22/22, 10:46 p.m. The victim exited her vehicle and was approached from behind by two men. One of the men displayed a firearm, took property, and ran away. No injuries were reported.  

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION 

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6700 block of Old Dominion Drive, 6/18/22, 7:40 p.m. A juvenile approached the juvenile victim, assaulted him, and took property. The victim was able to grab their property back before the suspect fled in a vehicle. No injuries reported.      

MASON DISTRICT STATION          

ROBBERY: 4200 block of Markham Street, 6/17/22, 3:47 p.m. A man approached the victim, brandished a knife, and took property. No injuries were reported.  

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 7400 block of Lucerne lane, 6/17/22, 3:55 p.m. A man approached two victims, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money. No property was taken. No injuries were reported.  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7253 Maple Place (Annandale Dollar and Gift Store), 6/19/22, 3:02 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business, damaged and took property.  

SHOOTING: 6000 block of Bellview Drive, 6/20/22, 7:34 p.m.  Two men approached the victim in his vehicle, one male fired multiple shots into the vehicle and walked away. The victim, self-reported to the hospital with a gunshot wound and was treated for injuries not considered life threatening.  

RESTON DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 1611 Washington Plaza (La Villa Market), 6/22/22, 2:30 a.m. Two men forced entry into the business, damaged property, and took merchandise.   

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION 

STABBING: 7200 block of Little River Turnpike, 6/19/22, 12:22 a.m. A 37-year-old man got into an argument with a friend and stabbed him in the upper body. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. He was charged with malicious wounding.  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 5965 Kingstowne Towne Center, Suite 120 (Game Stop), 6/19/22, 7:11 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business, damaged property, and took merchandise.  

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6400 Springfield Mall (Macy’s), 6/19/22, 3:10 p.m. A man took merchandise without paying. When confronted by a store employee, the man displayed a knife and left the store. No injuries were reported.   

CARJACKING: 6400 block of Brandon Avenue, 6/20/22, 3:41 p.m. Officers responded just before 4 p.m. to I95 southbound near Old Keene Mill Road to assist another jurisdiction after they located a black GMC Sierra that was reported stolen. The three occupants of the Sierra ran after Onstar disabled the vehicle near the 6400 block of Brandon Avenue. As the three men were running, they approached a separate victim, demanded his keys, and drove off in the new victim’s Chevrolet SUV. A short time later, the vehicle became disabled after striking a utility pole near the intersection of Phillip Road and Greenfield Road in Annandale. Officers quickly located the three men, and they were arrested. Two firearms were recovered from the vehicles. No injuries were reported. A 20-yeard-old Hampton man was charged with carjacking and disregarding police signal to stop. A 23-year-old Hampton man was charged with carjacking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and felon in possession of ammunition. A 20-year-old Williamsburg man was charged with carjacking and credit card theft.  

STABBING: 6800 block of Commerce Street, 6/21/22, 4:34 p.m. A community member found a man in the parking lot with a stab wound to the upper body. The man was treated for injuries that were later determined not to be life threatening. Through an investigation, officers determined the victim and a 35-year-old woman got into a dispute at a nearby establishment. The woman stabbed the victim and left. Detectives obtained a warrant for malicious wounding. This does not appear to be a random act.  

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7708D Backlick Road (Emilie’s Snow Cones and Food), 6/22/22 3:42 a.m. Two men forced entry into the business, damaged property, and took money.
