Suspect Arrested after Robbing 66-Year-Old Woman
Reston Police District – Reston officers arrested a suspect who robbed a 66-year-old woman.
On July 24, at 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of North Shore Drive in Reston for a robbery.
The victim boarded a bus near the Hunter Woods shopping center. While on the bus, the victim began a conversation with the suspect. The victim exited the bus onto North Shore Drive and sat on a nearby bench. The suspect sat down next to her and, after a physical struggle ensued, robbed the victim of her wallet and ran from the scene. The victim was uninjured during the robbery.
Detectives identified and charged James David Freeman (who identifies as Jasmine Freeman and Kelly Freeman), 38, of Reston with robbery. Freeman was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on July 26 by Reston officers. Freeman is being held on no bond.
