7-Eleven Robbery Suspect Apprehended and Linked to Additional Cases
Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau arrested a 21-year-old Lorton man for a series of commercial robberies at a 7-Eleven.
At 11:07 a.m. yesterday, Anis Sesay, 21, entered the 7-Eleven at 9402 Richmond Highway in Lorton. Sesay assaulted an employee, took an unknown amount of money and ran from the store. The victim sustained minor injuries.
The victim called the detective, who was investigating a robbery that occurred at the store on Saturday. The detective quickly directed patrol officers to the area and provided a lookout. Officers found Sesay in a nearby neighborhood and apprehended him after a brief foot chase.
Detectives determined Sesay was connected to two additional commercial robberies at this location that occurred on October 1 and 7. He was charged with three counts of Robbery. Sesay remains held without bond at the Adult Detention Center.
