Detectives Investigate Four Robberies Minutes Apart

Mason and Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a series of robberies from several gas stations.

Detectives believe the four robberies are connected. In each robbery, two suspects entered the stores, went behind the counter and stole money and merchandise. No weapons were seen in the robberies. The first suspect was described as a skinny Black man wearing a blue jacket, tan hoodie, and black jeans approximately 5’11”. The second suspect was described as a Black man wearing a black hoodie, black jacket, and black jeans and approximately 5’8. The suspects were seen leaving in a gray Hyundai Elantra.

Timeline of robberies:

  • At approximately 9:22 p.m. last night, officers responded to the Exxon Gas station at 6550 Edsall Road in Lincolnia for two suspects who stole cigarettes from behind the counter.
  • A short time later, at 9:33 p.m., officers responded to Speedway Gas station at 7100 Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia for two suspects who stole money from the cash register and cigarettes.
  • At 9:39 p.m., officers responded to Shell Gas station at 7413 Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia for two suspects who assaulted the clerk and took cigarettes and other items. The clerk sustained minor injuries.
  • At 9:49 p.m. officers responded to 3United Gas Station at 4316 Ravensworth Road in Lincolnia for two suspects who attempted to take cash from the register but were unsuccessful. The two suspects then took miscellaneous food items from the store.
