ATM Robbery Suspect Caught, Accomplice on the Run

Franconia Police District – Officers from the Franconia Police District apprehended a woman after she assaulted and attempted to rob a victim of his wallet in Springfield.

On February 13, around 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the Capital One Bank located at 6949 Commerce Street in Springfield for the report of a robbery. The victim, an adult man, was finishing a withdrawal from the ATM when he was approached by a woman, later identified as Ashleigh Ours. Ours was accompanied by another man during the robbery. The woman began assaulting the victim and trying to grab his wallet and cash. The suspects got into a Toyota Rav4 and fled. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries related to the assault.

An officer located the suspect’s vehicle, later determined to be stolen out of Prince William County, at a nearby gas station. Ours was arrested after a brief foot chase. The male suspect, described as a black male 5’11 to 6’2, fled the area. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division have been assigned to the investigation.

Ashleigh Ours, 28, of Woodbridge, was charged with Robbery with Serious Bodily Injury, Malicious Wounding, Possession of Schedule 1 or 2 Drug, and Obstructing Justice. She is being held at the Fairfax County ADC on no bond.
