Counselor Charged with Assault

Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Child Abuse Squad have charged a school counselor with the assault of a student.

On April 16, detectives from our Child Abuse Squad began investigating an assault that occurred at Glasgow Middle School in Lincolnia. Detectives determined the 11-year-old student called Craig Small, 44, of Lorton, a derogative name. Small then headbutted the victim and carried him out of the cafeteria.

Detectives obtained a warrant for misdemeanor Assault and Battery. No mugshot is available due to summons releasable warrant. Small has been a school counselor at Glasgow Middle School since August of 2021.
