Organized Theft Crew Arrested: Over-The-Counter Medications Targeted
Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested three out-of-state suspects after a spree of over-the-counter medication thefts.
In February, detectives received a tip that an organized retail theft crew was targeting businesses that sold over-the-counter medications in the County. Detectives were able to piece together and connect additional cases of similar thefts dating back to October 2022.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives learned the crew had recently returned to Fairfax County. On May 18, officers responded to the 3000 block of Centreville Road in Oak Hill following the report of a larceny. Detectives and officers located the suspects in a vehicle and took them into custody.
Detectives continue to investigate additional cases linked to this crew, which is potentially responsible for thefts totaling over $120,000.
