UPDATE: Former After-School Contractor Arrested for Unlawful Filming

Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested and charged a former after-school contractor with seven counts of Unlawful Filming.

On August 30, Arturo Elmore-Adon, 25, of Reston was charged after an in-depth review of his electronic devices following his arrest on August 12. Detectives recovered several unlawful videos of minors. Four minor victims have been positively identified and were students at Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). All four victims were physically unharmed.

Detectives immediately notified FCPS and determined that Arturo was an independent contractor working various FCPS elementary after-school programs from September 2022 through May 2023. Detectives determined that Arturo unlawfully filmed the victims while at FCPS facilities.

On September 3, Arturo was charged with seven counts of Felony Unlawful Filming and is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

UPDATE: Reston Man Faces Additional Charges for Possession of Child Pornography

Reston Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have charged a man with multiple counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

On August 12, detectives arrested Arturo Elmore-Adon, 25, of Reston for Aggravated Sexual Battery and Unlawful Creation of an Image of Another Under 18. After conducting a thorough investigation on devices belonging to Arturo, detectives obtained additional warrants for 15 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Arturo was arrested today and is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Reston Man Arrested After Sexual Assault of a Child

Reston Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested a man after he sexually assaulted a child in a store in Reston.

On August 9, at 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the 11100 block of South Lakes Drive in Reston for an assault. Officers learned a 7-year-old child and her mother were inside a store and were being followed by Arturo Elmore-Adon, 25, of Reston. Arturo touched the child inappropriately and took a picture of the child without consent. Arturo fled the area before police arrived. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

On August 12, Arturo was arrested and charged with Aggravated Sexual Battery and Unlawful Creation of an Image of Another Under 18. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on no bond.
