Captain Hudson Bull Awarded International Recognition for Innovation and Leadership
Fairfax County, VA – From leading Fairfax County Police Department’s state-of-the-art crime center to reuniting missing persons with their families, Captain Hudson Bull’s impact on Fairfax County has now earned him international recognition as one of IACP’s 40 Under 40.
The FCPD is proud to announce Captain Hudson Bull has been recognized as one of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 40 Under 40 Award recipients for 2024. This prestigious award honors law enforcement professionals under 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to public safety.
Captain Bull joined FCPD in 2013 after distinguished service with the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Secret Service. Known for his visionary leadership, Captain Bull has been instrumental in transforming FCPD’s technological capabilities, notably by creating and developing the FCPD’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). The RTCC, under Captain Bull’s leadership, serves as a critical hub for integrating cutting-edge technology and operational intelligence to support proactive policing strategies, helping officers respond swiftly and effectively.
Captain Bull’s leadership has also led to a complete overhaul of FCPD’s license plate reader (LPR) program, significantly improving its effectiveness through partnerships with neighboring departments and private entities. His outreach efforts have enhanced transparency, and the program has produced impressive results for the safety and security of Fairfax County.
“Captain Bull’s contributions to our department and community are nothing short of remarkable,” said Chief Kevin Davis. “His work with our RTCC and his innovative approach to policing has helped fundamentally change how we operate, making Fairfax County safer.”
