Man in Custody Following a Domestic-Related Homicide in Lincolnia
Mason Police District – An adult man is in custody after fatally assaulting his mother in Lincolnia yesterday.

Yesterday around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a deceased person in the 6300 block of Lincolnia Road, in Lincolnia. Officers located Myong Kim, 75, of Lincolnia suffering from trauma to the upper body. She was declared deceased at the scene.
Detectives determined that John Kim, 39, of Lincolnia fatally assaulted his mother and remained at the scene until officers arrived.
Kim was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Second-Degree Murder. He was held on no bond.
Detectives continue to conduct interviews, collect video surveillance, and process evidence recovered from the scene to determine the circumstances that led up to the fatal assault.
