Detectives Investigate Fatal Crash in Great Falls

McLean Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that left a Maryland man dead in Great Falls yesterday.

On December 14 at 6:54 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 8600 block of Georgetown Pike in Great Falls.

Preliminarily, detectives determined that the driver of a 2024 BMW M8, Ederson Lima Gislon, 40, of Maryland was traveling westbound on Georgetown Pike when he left the roadway and struck a tree.  Lima Gislon was declared deceased at the scene.

Detectives believe that speed played a role in the crash.
