DC Man Quickly Arrested after Burglary Attempt at a Springfield Gun Store
West Springfield Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have arrested a man for attempting to burglarize a gun store in Springfield.
On December 20, at 3:13 a.m., officers responded to the Dominion Defense store located at 7200 Fullerton Road in Springfield for a commercial burglary alarm. The complainant reported seeing someone attempting to enter the business on surveillance cameras. Officers quickly located and arrested Preston Adams, 20, of Washington, D.C. nearby.
Preston was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Possession of Burglarious Tools and Wearing a Mask in Public. He was held on a $10,000 bond.
