Detectives Investigate Bank Robbery in Lorton
Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a bank robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon in Lorton.
On March 17th at 3:15 p.m., officers responded to 9400 block of Richmond Highway for a bank robbery. A man entered the bank and displayed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was displayed, but one was implied during the robbery. The suspect took cash and fled before officers’ arrival. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’5”, average build, with dark hair. He was wearing a black surgical mask, a black coat, blue jeans, and black Croc shoes.
Victim specialists from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure the victims are receiving appropriate resources and assistance.
