Detectives Seek Suspect Who Assaulted a Bus Driver in Lorton

Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault against a bus driver in Lorton.

On July 8 at 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of Gunston Cove Road and Cranford Street in Lorton for the report of an assault. The victim reported that while on his regular bus route, an unknown suspect boarded the bus and assaulted him. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
