Update: Man Charged for Burglaries in Hybla Valley

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have charged a man responsible for multiple burglaries in Hybla Valley.

On April 17, at 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a burglary call at the La Taza Panaderia located in the 7800 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley. The complainant reported that a suspect broke into the business using a rock and stole money before fleeing. Detectives responded to assume the investigation.

Following multiple April burglaries where a suspect smashed business doors with a rock, detectives believed the same suspect was involved. Through their investigation and with the assistance of the Department of Forensic Science, Eliasar Flores Flores, 23, of Alexandria was identified as the person responsible for the multiple burglaries in Hybla Valley.

Flores Flores was being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges and was served warrants for four counts of Burglary, five counts of Destruction of Property, and three counts of Petit Larceny. He remains held on no bond.

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for multiple burglaries in Hybla Valley.

On April 17, at 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a burglary call at the La Taza Panaderia located at 7850 Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley. The complainant reported that a suspect broke into the business using a rock and stole money before fleeing. Detectives responded to assume the investigation.

Preliminarily, detectives believe this suspect may be responsible for similar incidents in Hybla Valley shown below. During each incident, the suspect used a rock to break the front glass door to make entry.

Detectives obtained security footage below which shows the suspect involved in the burglaries.
