Man Arrested after Sexual Battery Incident in Fair Oaks

Fair Oaks Police District— Officers from our Patrol Division have arrested a man after he inappropriately touched a victim in a store in Fair Oaks.

On August 31, at 9:09 a.m., officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 12200 block of Apple Orchard Court in Fair Oaks. Two separate complainants reported that a man was acting strange in the neighborhood and attempted to follow a minor.

Officers were provided with photographs and a video of the man and canvassed the neighborhood. While canvassing, officers were approached by a victim in the 12000 block of Fairfax Towne Center who reported that she was inappropriately touched while in a store by a man who matched the description. Officers then located Nelson Robles, 22, of Fairfax nearby and took him into custody.

Officers linked Robles to a similar incident a day prior where he approached and followed three minors in a neighborhood.

Robles was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with two counts of Sexual Battery. He is being held on no bond.
