Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Homicide Suspects

Reston Police District -Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a homicide that occurred last night in Hutchison.

On October 15, at 9:31 p.m., officers responded to the 13000 block of Parcher Avenue in Hutchison for a call for a suspicious person. A community member reported that an unconscious man was lying on the ground, possibly injured or asleep. Officers responded and located an unresponsive juvenile male victim with a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was declared deceased at the scene. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act.

Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau responded and have assumed the investigation.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of the victim’s death. Detectives continue to conduct interviews, collect video surveillance, and process evidence recovered from the scene to determine the circumstances that led up to the fatal shooting.
