Man Arrested with Firearm While Under Protective Order
West Springfield Police District— Patrol officers with the assistance of detectives from our Threat Assessment and Management Unit have arrested a man after he violated a protective order and was found with an illegally possessed firearm.
On November 5, at 2:05 p.m., officers responded to the 9800 block of Laurel Street in Long Branch for a Protective Order Violation. The complainant reported that a person he has an active protective order against was seen driving by his home.
Officers responded and located Alexander Dubasky, 18, of Fairfax nearby and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop and subsequent arrest, an illegally possessed firearm with an obliterated serial number was found.

Dubasky was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with Possession of a Firearm While Protective Order in Effect, Violation of Protective Order, Removal of Firearm Serial Number, and Purchase/Transport of Firearm When Protective Order Issued. He was held on no bond.
