UPDATE: Tips Lead to Three Arrests in October Burglary in Reston
Reston Police District– Thanks to tips through Crime Solvers, detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have charged three suspects for their involvement in a commercial burglary that occurred last month in Reston.
On October 12, at 10:13 p.m., officers responded to the Kile Mart located at 1611 Washington Plaza in Reston for an alarm. Three unknown suspects forced entry into the business and stole vape products and other merchandise. The suspects fled the business before police arrival. Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Through their investigation and with the assistance of tips received through Crime Solvers, detectives identified three suspects responsible for burglarizing the Kile Mart.
On October 14, officers responded to the 1600 block of Wainwright Drive in Reston for a police service. While at the residence, a 17-year-old juvenile was confirmed as one of the burglary suspects. He was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. Petitions were obtained for Burglary, Grand Larceny, and Destruction of Property.
On October 31, detectives and officers from the Franconia Neighborhood Patrol Units located and identified William Dristy, 20, of Annandale as another suspect in the burglary. He was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with two counts of Burglary, Grand Larceny, Felony Destruction, and two counts of Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor. He was held on no bond but was later released.

Through additional investigations, detectives tracked and located the third suspect. He was identified as a 15-year-old juvenile. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and served petitions for Burglary, Grand Larceny, and Destruction of Property.

Reston Police District– Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s assistance identifying three suspects connected to a commercial burglary in Reston.
On October 12, at 10:13 p.m., officers responded to the Kile Mart located at 1611 Washington Plaza in Reston for an alarm. Three unknown suspects forced entry into the business and stole vape products and other merchandise. The suspects fled the business before police arrival. Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division responded to assume the investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives obtained surveillance footage of the suspects involved in the burglary. Detectives believe one of the suspects sustained a cut to their hand or arm during the burglary.
