Suspect Arrested Following Bomb Threat in Woodlawn Area
Mount Vernon Police District– Detectives from our Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau have arrested a man after he threaten to bomb a Fairfax Connector bus in Woodlawn.

On November 30 at 10:22 a.m., officers responded to the 8700 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlawn for a report of a bomb threat. When officers arrived, they learned Blake Davis Norton, 57, of no fixed address, claimed he had a bomb in his backpack before boarding a Fairfax Connector bus.
Officers quickly located the bus and evacuated the immediate area. With the assistance of our Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit (EOD), the backpack was safely examined and did not contain any explosive material.
Norton was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with Threats to Bomb or Burn. He is being held without bond.
