Shoplifting Call Leads to Firearms Arrest in Fair Oaks

Fair Oaks Police District— Officers from our Patrol Bureau have arrested a man on multiple weapon charges in Fair Oaks.

On November 29, at 11:14 p.m., officers responded to the 11200 block of James Swart Circle in Fair Oaks for a larceny call. The complainant reported that suspects who previously stole from the store returned and were believed to be stealing merchandise again. Officers located a male suspect and the man fled on foot.

After a short foot pursuit, Antoin Moore, 21, of Centreville was taken into custody. During a search of the suspect, officers located a firearm with an extended magazine and obliterated serial number.

Moore was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with, Possession of a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Possession of an Extended Magazine, and two counts Obstruction of Justice. He was held on no bond.
