FCPS Instructional Assistant Charged with Assault

West Springfield Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Abuse Squad have charged a Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) Instructional Assistant with Simple Assault.

On December 19, a School Resource Officer received a notification that a student was assaulted by an Annandale High School instructional assistant. Detectives were notified and assumed the investigation. 

During the investigation, detectives learned Jamie Gerardo Gallo Pacheco, 33, of Annandale, physically assaulted a student earlier that day.

On December 23, Pacheco was arrested and served a summons releasable warrant for Simple Assault. No mugshot is available at this time.

Pacheco was placed on administrative leave by FCPS upon notice of the allegation. 

Victim specialists from our Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure that the victim is receiving appropriate resources and assistance.
