Detectives Investigate Fatal Crash in Fair Oaks
Fair Oaks Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on December 31 in Fair Oaks.
On December 31, 2025, at 8:25 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at Post Forest Drive and Government Center Parkway in Fair Oaks. Officers determined that the driver of a 2010 Toyota Prius, Grant Faircloth, 24, of Aldie, was traveling eastbound on Post Forest Drive when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Faircloth was transported to a local hospital with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening. Later that evening, officers were notified that Faircloth’s status had changed to life-threatening. Faircloth was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit have assumed the investigation. Preliminarily, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Detectives continue to investigate whether speed was a factor.
