Detectives Seek Driver in Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run in Annandale

Mason Police District — Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Annandale.

Today, at 7:02 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Little River Turnpike and Shelley Lane in Annandale for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

Preliminarily, CRU detectives determined Christopher Young, 34, of Annandale, was crossing Little River Turnpike at Shelley Lane. The driver of an unknown dark color sedan was traveling westbound on Little River Turnpike and struck Young. The driver of the vehicle did not stop.

Young was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation into the crash continues as detectives work to identify the driver of the vehicle.
